The Beaver Dam Company is a Franco-Swiss contemporary dance company directed by choreographer Edouard Hue. Through it, he defends virtuoso dance in its pure state and the omnipresence of the body.

The identity of the company is developed around various activities such as creations for all audiences, their diffusion on a national and international scale, the training of pre-professionals/professionals, the access of amateurs to dance as well as the sensitization of the public.

The first creation of the company is the duet “Murky Depths” presented in 2014 at the Festival Antigel in Geneva, Switzerland. Following its success, the piece travels the world and receives numerous awards. In 2016, Edouard Hue created the quintet “Into Outside”. In parallel with the tours, the piece is remounted for the Ecole de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal and the Frontier Danceland Company of Singapore.

In 2017, the trio “Meet me halway” is supported by mentoring with Olivier Dubois (set up by Pro-Helvetia – Swiss Foundation for Culture) and the company enters a residency at L’Auditorium de Seynod – Scène Régionale.

In 2018, the solo “FORWARD” by and about Edouard Hue receives the support of the Dance & Dramaturgy program initiated by Philippe Saire – Théâtre Sévelin 36. The piece is presented at the Festival OFF d’Avignon 2019 – Théâtre Golovine, in a double evening with “Into Outside”. The program meets a great success and 16 press reviews. Today, the Beaver Dam Company / Edouard Hue produces the creation “Molten” which will premiere from February 11 to 15, 2020 at the Théâtre de La Parfumerie in Geneva.
