Flora Ageron

Experimental musician, intimate videographer and opera singer, Flora Ageron primarily practices tightrope-walking on vocal cords. Her voice is her laboratory: she takes it in every possible direction, seeking synthesis. An associate artist at l'Abri (Geneva) and a graduate with a Master's in Opera Performance from the Lausanne University of Music, she explores various sources of sound expression and develops contrasting artistic projects centred on the voice, collaborating with many artists (My Name is Fuzzy, Loka and the Moonshiners, Mirlaqi, Yann Longchamps…). In 2021 she was in residency in Cluj-Napoca (RO) with Pro Helvetia, and in 2022 received a City of Geneva grant to research female baroque composers in 17th-century Italy. Since 2018 she has led the ensemble Espuma Antigua, and with her solo project Flora Noreja she creates a hybrid vocal and jazz-electronic universe.
