ANNINA MOSIMANN

Annina Mosimann (born 1991 in Bern) is a puppeteer, performer, and visual artist. Trained in Fine Arts at HSLU and in Puppetry at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, she works internationally as a freelance theatre maker. Her practice moves between performing and visual arts and experimental music, exploring figures, objects, materials, and the human body. Themes such as corporeality, in-between spaces, and the relationship between humans and their environment shape her poetic, absurd, and humorous works. Annina Mosimann, born in Bern in 1991, is a puppeteer, performer, and visual artist. She studied Fine Arts at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and Puppetry at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, and works as a freelance artist and theatre practitioner.
Annina Mosimann’s work exists at the intersection of performing and visual arts, as well as experimental music, focusing on figures, objects, materials, and the human body.
Corporeality, in-between spaces, the unconscious, and the relationship between people and the things that surround us are central themes in her often whimsical, absurd, and humorous performances.
Her works « Masa Mater » (2020), « Mycelium » (2021), and « Bestiarium » (2024) have been invited to numerous international festivals. Her latest production, « Bestiarium, » was selected for the Swiss Young Talent Award for Performing Arts, PREMIO 2024.

She also collaborates in various formations with theatre collectives in Switzerland, Germany, and France. Collaborations include those with Nicole Mossoux, Julika Mayer, Elise Vigneron, Lutz Grossmann, and Renaud Herbin.
