After an EP in 2022, Geneva-based singer Evita Koné unveils her debut album.
Inspired by blossoming, « Build + Bloom » speaks of growth, freedom and rebirth. Ten tracks blending poetry and commitment, around themes close to the singer’s heart: love, feminism, anti-racism and generational healing. « These are reflections that never leave me, » she says. « I love writing songs I wish I could have heard myself — like reminders, lessons I never want to forget. »
With Chadian, African-American and Swiss roots, Evita Koné embraces a musical blending of cultures. « It’s a celebration of my cultures, » she explains. A complete artist — songwriter, composer and performer — she defines herself above all as a performer: « I prefer being on stage. I really love that connection with the audience, the exchange and the spontaneity. You have to be in the present moment and create unique experiences. »
