Description
Between home and school, the path we take every day seems the same. Yet this journey can become a true terrain of adventure and surprise. What is familiar, what is new? Choreographer Lorena Dozio transforms this daily walk into a trail of discovery and observation.
How can we make the invisible visible? It is guided by this question that choreographer Lorena Dozio moves forward, piece after piece, drawn to the potential of the body and its capacity to bring other dimensions to light. With her first creation for young audiences, she draws freely from the picture book Romance by comic artist Blexbolex. In this wordless book, the reader follows a child who takes the same path every day between home and school. Each journey is an opportunity to accumulate observations, which grow day by day, longer and more conducive to daydreaming. Accompanied by the colourful and burlesque world of visual artist Cécile Meynier and music by KingQ4, Lorena Dozio offers a playful translation and interpretation of the book’s images and characters, revealing other imaginary spaces where everyone is free to project themselves.
