Ursulina de Lombardia

Ursulina de Lombardia

Ursulina de Lombardia is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersections of media, gender, and fiction. She blends performance, video, and installation to explore how femininity is constructed, performed, and circulated in contemporary visual cultures. Her work reappropriates mass media codes to examine how narratives shape identity and collective imaginaries, challenging boundaries between autobiography and invention, the intimate and the spectacular, while critically reflecting on power, representation, and the mediated female body across generations and geographies. Her work has been presented, among others, at MAXXI, Rome; one gee in fog, Geneva; Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich; Cripta747, Turin; Istituto Svizzero, Milan; Centre d'Art Contemporain, Geneva; Arsenic, Lausanne (2023); Galerie Fabienne Levy, Lausanne.
