AudioBébéDanse! was born from the question of how we could tell stories of the body and of dance to very young children, in the same way we would tell a narrative.

AudiobebéDanse! is an immersive choreographic project for children aged 9 months to 3 years, based on the relationship between movement and sound, between listening and sight. It is performed by two dancers within an immersive sound environment. The aim is to stimulate movement through hearing and vision, thereby fostering children’s imagination and sensory awareness.
The two fundamental principles are listening (sounds, voices, stories, words, and onomatopoeia transmitted through audio) and movement, tracing the child’s sensory-motor development and its different stages, from birth to walking.
The project is structured in chapters, like successive audio episodes, each exploring a stage of development and a specific relationship between speech/sound and movement. It exists in a version for non-equipped spaces (daycare centers, kindergartens, libraries, art centers, etc.) as well as a version for theatrical venues.
Bio
Lorena Dozio was born and raised in Switzerland (canton of Ticino). She developed her choreographic work between Switzerland (Lugano) and France (Paris). She studied performance art at the University of Letters and Philosophy in Bologna before joining the Essais en danse et chorégraphie course at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine (CNDC) in Angers under the direction of Emmanuelle Huynh. In this context she began to create her first choreographic projects, and then collaborated with the Brazilian dancer and choreographer Fernando Cabral. In 2008 they created the production structure Bagacera (which became Plateforme Crile), with which she created several duet and solo pieces presented in Switzerland, France and Italy. She undertook research into the relationship between the visible and the invisible and into the transformation of matter. In 2012, as part of the choreography training course Transforme directed by Myriam Gourfink at the Fondation Royaumont, she created the solo Levante on the notion of levitation, in collaboration with the composers Carlo Ciceri and Daniel Zea, with whom she founded the Association Crile, based in Lugano. Her subsequent creations include Alibi (2014), I Nauti (2015), the quartet Otolithes (2016, LAC Lugano), Otolithes_ON AIR (2017), Dazzle (2017), the female trio Rame (2020) and the sound and choreographic installation Danses Invisibles (2020). She regularly collaborates with the composers Carlo Ciceri and Kerwin Rolland and the lighting designer Séverine Rième. As a performer she has worked with choreographers and artists such as Laure Bonicel, Deborah Hay, Eric Didry, Catherine Bay, Boris Achour, Tiziana Arnaboldi and Emmanuelle Raynaut. She also studied Vinyasa Yoga and teaches it in relation to her choreographic work.
